  • Jamaica spike in murders and unreliable medical services triggers travel warnings. They are listed at a Level 3 which means you should reconsider traveling to this destination. (Please note that there are 4 levels for State Department's travel warnings - 4 being the worst)

 

  • The state department has issued travel warnings for The Bahamas because of gang-on-gang violence which has resulted in a high homicide rate. They are listed at a Level 2 meaning travelers should exercise increased caution.


  • Nat Geo’s Best of the World travel guide shares the best experiences, hotels, restaurants, and wellness and cultural spots for 2024. Some of their choices are:

  • Napa Valley has a new Wine Train that will be “nearly silent and odorless,” enhancing the passenger travel experience as it complies with environmental regulations. They are moving full steam ahead with plans to refurbish its entire locomotive fleet in order to reach new environmental targets. The first of these locomotives, designed to meet more stringent air quality standards, is rolling out of the station with the moniker “1864.” Three more engines are scheduled for delivery by the end of 2024 as part of the company’s aim to transition the fleet by the beginning of 2025, the Napa Valley Wine Train said in a statement.
