Spirit confirmed it is postponing the start of its planned service to Tulum airport.

Spirit confirmed it is postponing the start of its planned service to Tulum's Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport indefinitely. Spirit had plans to serve Tulum from both Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).The airline blames the route postponement on ongoing operational constraints related to the defects on a number of Airbus A321 neo engines. The carrier will be reaching out to customers with flights already booked to offer alternative flights or a refund, a spokesperson said.


Delta flight forced to turn around because of maggots

Delta flight from Amsterdam to Detroit was forced to turn around an hour after take-off when maggots fell from the overhead compartment onto passengers sitting in the economy seats. A passenger transporting fish was responsible for maggots falling into the plane. The airline gave travelers 8,000 free miles, hotel room compensation, and a $30 meal ticket in case they were delayed overnight.

Washington Dulles International Airport will be able to complete their Global Entry enrollment on departure, becoming the first airport to allow applicants to do so.  They will be open daily noon – 8pm in their Global Entry enrollment center located in Terminal B


Southwest Airlines Spring Travel Sale started this week

Southwest Airlines Spring Travel Sale started this week with one-way fares as low as $49. You must book by Feb. 22 for travel between March 5 and May 29 (or May 22 for destinations in Hawaii, Puerto Rico or abroad). You’ll need to have a flexible schedule, though, because the deals are only available for flights on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
