Are the prices of flights stopping you from traveling this summer?
Well airlines are making it easier for your travel wishes to come true. You can book now and pay later.
Book now pay later method of flight booking allows travelers to pay in equal installments over a 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month period. They are offering services from PayPal, Affirm, Uplift and Klarna. Some are with or without interest.
Here is the breakdown for some of the top airlines:
Delta offers PayPal Credit as a payment option, and you can pay using Affirm if you book your trip through Delta Vacations
Alaska offers Uplift financing for flights. Book your flights as normal when you get to payment it will show you the total price or the price per month. Uplift will ask for personal info to process the loan.
United Airlines uses Klarna, Uplift, and PayPal Credit as payment options, but some fares are not eligible for Uplift payments
Southwest Airlines uses Uplift to break the cost of the flight up into fixed monthly payments. Klarna is another option to use at checkout to create four payments instead of one. Southwest Vacations allows you to book any combination of flight, car, and hotel.
Spirit Airlines offers monthly payments using Uplift once you get to the payment section. You can also pay using Affirm or Klarna
American Airlines accepts PayPal to pay for your ticket if your billing address is in the U.S., including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as Canada and the U.K. Choose PayPal on the payment page, then sign into your PayPal account and choose PayPal Credit. You can also use Klarna or Affirm
Frontier Airlines uses Uplift but flights must be over $100 to be eligible for this payment option. If eligible, you will be offered the option when checking out. Klarna is also available.
There are many more airlines like KLM, Lufthansa and travel sites (Priceline, Cheap Air, etc) that offer these services. Make sure you do your research and read all the fine print before booking.
And remember if you’re going to pay later, it’s still worth finding the best price you possibly can.
